In this project I create another mini weapon, well sort of. This was inspired by a particularly ruthless real life meat cleaver that I thought may look ‘cute’ miniaturised. To give it some real world function I also created a wooden block to hold the blade, which also doubles up as a fridge magnet. So far this is my favorite mini weapon build because it’s so damn useful, I’ve pulled the mini cleaver from its fridge magnet block many times and used it to unbox or cut things.

A4 Template at bottom of page. Being made from nothing more than a Stanley knife blade and some wood, there’s not too much to this build. You can either draw your own cleaver onto the blade, or download my template below which is a scaled down version of a real meat cleaver. When cutting steel always use eye protection and a mask to protect from metal dust.

The best, and most useful part of the build for me is the fridge magnet protector for the blade. This is just two halfs of scrap wood with a space cut out to house the blade. To make drilling the location for the magnet easier, I cut a small groove on one face of the wood so that when the two faces of wood are finally glued together, the drill is guided into the exact location.
